Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 Review: Our Verdict, Pods and Who It Suits

Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 Review: Our Verdict, Pods and Who It Suits

22nd Oct 2026

The Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 is the pod kit we'd point an everyday vaper towards when battery life is their main complaint about the kit they use now. In our Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 review, the kit earns its place on a 2000mAh battery and a full-colour screen in a 65g body, with two COREX 3.0 pods in the box. Where it loses ground is charging, which is slower than a battery this size deserves. The Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 pod kit sits at the top of the XROS line in the Vaporesso range we stock.

Our Verdict on the Vaporesso XROS Pro 2

For anyone already comfortable with a pod kit, the XROS Pro 2 is a sensible step up. You get the battery and screen of a bigger device without moving to a box mod, and the two pods in the box cover both a tighter and a looser draw. Our main reservation is how long that battery takes to charge.

Buy it if:

  • All-day battery is the thing you want most.
  • You want a light kit: the body weighs 65g.
  • You'd like two pod resistances to choose between from day one.
  • You want a screen showing battery, puff count and the resistance of the fitted pod.

Look elsewhere if:

  • You want a device with nothing to adjust at all.
  • You need a quick top-up between uses.
  • You want a very tight, restricted draw.
  • You want wattage control on every pod, not only the 0.4Ω.

If you're coming from cigarettes, we'd still recommend it, as long as you start on the 0.6Ω pod. With that pod fitted there's no wattage to set, only three power settings, though the screen and button controls give you more to take in than a basic auto-draw pod. Our top tips for vaping beginners cover the first few weeks.

What the XROS Pro 2 Is Like Day to Day

Battery is the strongest reason to buy. Vaping360 measured roughly 1,600 to 1,700mAh of real capacity from the 2000mAh cell and got through about 9ml of e-liquid on a single charge, enough for a full day of vaping for many pod users. That extra headroom is the main difference we'd point to between this kit and the 1500mAh XROS 5.

The screen is larger than the XROS 5's and in full colour. It shows wattage, battery, puff count and the resistance of the fitted pod, so you can check your settings at a glance rather than guessing. Vaping360 found that how clearly it reads depends on the colour of the front panel, which is worth bearing in mind when you pick a colour.

On flavour, Vaping360 rated the 0.6Ω pod highly on both fruit and tobacco-style e-liquids and got more than 20ml through it. Pods are the running cost on any refillable kit, so that kind of life is a good sign if you vape every day.

The airflow slider runs from a slightly tighter mouth-to-lung draw through to a more open restricted lung draw. That covers the usual pod-kit range. If you want a very tight, cigarette-style draw, a dedicated MTL kit will suit you better.

Which Pod We'd Start You On: 0.4Ω or 0.6Ω

The kit ships with two COREX 3.0 pods, and the right one to start on depends on how you like to vape.

Pod

Draw

Power control

Who we'd give it to

0.4Ω (pre-installed)

Looser, restricted lung draw with the airflow opened up

Wattage you set, 15-30W

An everyday vaper who wants more vapour and more control

0.6Ω (spare)

Tighter draw, nearer mouth-to-lung

Eco, Normal or Power

Someone moving across from cigarettes, or anyone who wants to set it and leave it

The 0.4Ω pod comes fitted, but if you're new to refillable kits, swap to the 0.6Ω before your first fill. Its tighter draw is closer to what most people coming from cigarettes are used to, and there's no wattage to think about.

Both pods top-fill. The listing recommends e-liquid at 50/50 or higher PG, in either freebase or nic salt, so very thick high-VG liquids are a poor match. The kit works with the XROS pod series, which the listing gives as running from 0.4Ω to 1.2Ω, so you can change your draw later without changing the device. Our COREX replacement pods page lists the COREX 3.0 resistances we currently stock.

Power Modes and Super Pulse: How the Settings Work

How you set the power depends on the pod. With the 0.4Ω pod fitted, Vaping360 reports precise wattage control between 15 and 30W. With the 0.6Ω pod or any higher resistance, you choose between Eco, Normal and Power, a low, medium and high setting with no wattage to pick.

We think the three fixed settings are the easier place to start, and that's the setup we recommend for anyone new to it. Try Normal first, drop to Eco if you want a gentler vape, and move up to Power if the flavour feels thin.

The screen shows the current setting and the resistance of the fitted pod, so you always know what the device is doing. Vaporesso's launch release describes Super Pulse as technology that keeps output stable from a full battery to a low one. The listing also names a Smart mode without describing it, so the user manual in the box is the place to check how it behaves.

What We'd Change

None of these would stop us recommending the XROS Pro 2, but they're worth knowing before you buy.

  • Charging time: Vaping360 measured 60 to 70 minutes for a full charge at 2A. Plan around an hour on the charger rather than a quick top-up.
  • Wattage on one pod only: Precise wattage control is limited to the 0.4Ω pod. Fit anything higher and you're choosing between Eco, Normal and Power. We'd prefer the choice on every pod.
  • The finish: Vaping360 found the glossy finish picks up fingerprints and that the gold colour scratched easily. One of the other colours is the safer pick if the kit will share a pocket with keys.
  • Pod life on the 0.4Ω: In Vaping360's use, one 0.4Ω pod failed after about 14ml while the 0.6Ω pod went past 20ml. It's a single case, but it's one more reason we'd start most people on the 0.6Ω.
  • More to learn than a basic pod: The screen settings are optional, but a brand-new vaper can easily end up in a menu they didn't mean to open. If that sounds off-putting, a simpler auto-draw kit is the better first device.

Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 vs XROS 5

The two kits share a 2ml pod and a 30W ceiling, and sit on different generations of COREX pod.

We'd send an everyday vaper who wants the bigger battery and the lighter body to the XROS Pro 2. If you'd rather have a tighter draw straight out of the box and can live with a smaller battery, the XROS 5's 0.8Ω pod gets you there without a pod swap. Both sit in our Vaporesso vape kit range, and our XROS 5 vs XROS 5 Mini guide covers the smaller sibling in the same range.

FAQs

Is the Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 worth it?

For an everyday pod vaper who wants more battery, yes. It pairs a 2000mAh battery with a 65g body and two pods in the box. The main compromise is a charge time of around an hour.

What pods does the Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 use?

It uses Vaporesso COREX 3.0 mesh pods, and the kit comes with a 0.4Ω pod and a 0.6Ω pod. Our COREX replacement pods page lists the resistances we currently stock.

Is the Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 good for beginners?

We'd say yes, on the 0.6Ω pod. It gives a tighter draw that suits people moving across from smoking, and with it fitted there's no wattage to set, only Eco, Normal or Power. If you want nothing to adjust at all, a simpler auto-draw pod kit is easier.

How big is the XROS Pro 2 pod?

The UK pod holds 2ml, in line with the UK limit on refillable pod capacity. Figures of 3ml in some listings refer to non-UK versions.

Does the XROS Pro 2 come with e-liquid?

The current listing includes two 10ml bottles of UK-made e-liquid at 10mg nicotine, chosen from three fruit flavours. Check the product page for what's included at the time you order.
