Oral cancer produces symptoms such as lesions on the tongue, mouth, or inner cheeks. Oral cancer can also appear in the form of redness, spots, or even prolonged irritation in the mouth or gums. Last, any types of swelling or abnormal growth in the mouth, tongue, or gums can be a sign of oral cancer.

If you currently use tobacco products, consider quitting to lessen your chances of getting cancer. If you display any of the symptoms described above in your mouth or gums, get to a dentist or doctor immediately as it could mean the difference between life and death.
